finding your center
I provide individual and group psychotherapy. My primary interest as a psychotherapist is helping people access and act from their intrinsic health. My approach is informed by humanistic psychology and cutting edge mindfulness based treatments as well as modern hypnotherapy traditions. A graduate of Naropa University’s Contemplative Psychotherapy program, I continued training in Chicago, IL working with individuals dealing with severe mental illness and with co-occurring problems with mental illness and substance abuse. I also completed a post-graduate fellowship that included extensive training in working with relationship issues, problems of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender populations and other issues. Over the years, I have accrued extensive experience in helping people respond effectively to substance abuse, depression, anxiety, relationships issues, major life change, mood disorders and other issues. I have also trained in meditation and its effects and applicability to a variety of mental health issues, hypnosis, psychodynamic psychotherapy, group therapy, self-relations therapy and mindfulness-based therapies. I enjoy most when someone leaves my office having discovered their center, access to humor, joy and spaciousness to live their lives. I am a Naropa-certified mindfulness instructor, a National Board Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and faculty for training at Motivation Hypnosis in Burlington, VT.
